In the restaurant business for over 20 years but what are some things I need to know before buying a diner?
Author: admin // Category: buying a restaurantI know how to run an existing diner but want help in what I need to know before buying my own diner.
You need to study on the Grandfather clause. When a business changes hands, the new owner must update the existing establishment to conform to new healt dept rules etc.. such as number of sinks, bathrooms, etc. Study up on who you'll use as vendors b/c you want consistancy–that's what will keep you open! Good luck man! I know we really enjoy our cafe'!

I don't think that anyone here can give you much more help than the first answer. Sorry.
